Miniature fantasy land on top of old spruce stump

The high bush cranberries had a deep rose colour this fall

This year single branches on a tree would change colour early

King obediently posed to give you a sense of this old giant spruce. King is an 80 lb. (36 kg) shepherd / lab cross.

At this stage I can only wonder what factors shaped the young birch trunks.
