One spring a few years ago, on May 20, we had a late snow storm. Deciduous trees had already begun to leaf out. I went to the side of the pond opposite the house and did a series of shots pivoting on one leg to get the elements that are laid out to show the panorama view looking toward my home.

A young bear comes to visit. Until I got Thrum and then King, bears always were around and often tried to break into the house.

The grasses around the pond are just beginning to green up... likely in early July.

A cloudy summer day and I took the canoe out on the pond. This is a look back at the house backed by the forest.

Summer light is so intense and colours so vibrant. Contrast this with the light in Gallery 1.
